OPERATE LIKE A FLOWING RIVER.

 The purpose of God for all men is to operate like a flowing river which is unstoppable.The general concept about a water is that water will always find its level.

WHAT IS A RIVER?
River is a body of water with current moving in one general direction.They can vary in size with a smaller version.
In John 4 & 14, Jesus called himself a living water, those that will be saved by God will be led to the living fountain of water. With this it is essential we study the character of water
Rivers will always look for a way around an obstruction to get to the ocean,its final destination.
PARTS OF A RIVER
1.UPPER COURSE:
This is very small,it start off as a stream and very narrow and shallow.
WHY?
Because of the low amount of water, there is no much discharge,but very large rocks, making yhe bed very hard and very rough.Job. 8:7 ( though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase). Zechariah 4:10 ( for who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven, they are the eye of the Lord which run to and fro through the whole earth).
MIDDLE COURSE:
Here the gradient of the river start to level off,so the velocity start to increase.
WHY?
There is less amount of friction acting on the water.
LOWER COURSE:
The gradient level is off, but the speed of the river is very fast.
WHY?
There is low amount of a friction acting on the river.The river is veryvwide because of the vast amount of water and the vast amount of erosion that has occurrd over the years.
CHARACTERISTICS OF RIVER
WIDTH:
It differs, some are narrow while some are very wide, in overall, river tends to be smaller at the beginning which is called headwater and widest at its end where it empties into the larger body of water.
THE DEPTH:
This is also varies greatly,large rivers can be dozen feet deep and this dept decide what types of life the river can support.
CURRENT:
The speed differs and it is also determined what kinds of life the river supports.
MEANDER:
All rivers and streams meander,this mean to curve rather than be on a straight line.Rivers have bends and turns, depending on the geography of the land,it can make a u shape before flowing to its course.
EDDIES:
Sometimes when you take a careful look at a river it looks as if it is moving the wrong way, the eddies are those spots usually where some of the waters moves back up stream, here the movement is slow and the water actually move in a big circle before eventually continued its movement downstream.
We also have the BANKS and BOTTOM.
Types of bottom vary, some have a gravel, that is fast moving rivers and mud in some slow moving rivers.Some rivers may have both gravel and mud.
ROCKS AND BOULDER:
Many have a lots of rocks or large boulder in them but the current has to go round it to keep on flowing.
PLANTS:
No matter the current they still accomodate something different from them to live and take their strength from them.
ANIMAL
Some animals live inside the rivers while some come to drink and feed.
APPLICATION TO OUR LIVES
1. SOURCE:
River start from a source, you can not be better until you know the source for your greatness which is Jesus Christ.
2.VISION:
Rivers flow towards the ocean, you must have a vision to know what you want and where you are going in life,this will propel all your activities.
3. DETERMINATION:.
No matter the obstacles put on the course of a river it will find its way.Be determined in life that you will not quit whether there is favourable or unfavorable condition confronting you on your way to the top. Micah 7:8 ( rejoice not against me, o mine enemy,when I fall, I shall arise,when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.)
4. NO LOOKING BACK:
when your movement has started, don't look back., where you have started or how you started is not what matter but how you stay on to achieve your goal.
5. KEEP MOVING ON:
Never allow stagnation on your journey to destiny, it doesn't matter the step you are taking, short or long, just keep on moving, if you don't stop, you will get there one day
6.PURITY:
As long as a river is flowing debris cannot stand,it washes them away,keep yourself pure from everthing that can polute your mind..
7.RECEIVE STRENGTH
No matter how dry the weather,the river will still  run on a low current and whenever the rain fall on it, the speed will increase again.Wheneve the word of God which is the living water come to your receive it and keep moving again
God is saying move like river and become unstoppable.Be a man who will always be able to reach his goals whatever the situation and circumstances confronting him.Shalom.
