BUILDING A STRONG FOUNDATION IN CHRIST FOR A THRIVING MARRIAGE/ RELATIONSHIP.

I want you to know that no marriage on earth is hundred percent without friction, foundation is what makes a difference.  Building a strong foundation in Christ is essential for a thriving marriage or relationship. As believers, we are called to anchor our relationships in the unshakeable rock of God's love and wisdom. This foundation is the key to weathering life's storms, fostering a deep and abiding love, and creating a union that honours God.First and foremost, we must recognize that marriage is a sacred institution created by God. In Genesis 2:24, "therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife and they shall be one flesh".we are reminded that a man and woman become one flesh, united in a bond that reflects Christ's love for the church. This divine design sets the stage for a beautiful and purposeful relationship. As we journey  on, you will see the reason God put this principle in place, the principle of oneness. Husband and wife are one entity, though with different brought up, they must relearn how to blend together. To build a strong foundation in Christ, we must:

1. Cultivate a personal relationship with God.

2. Embrace biblical principles and wisdom.

3. Prioritize communication and conflict resolution.

4. Foster intimacy and emotional connection.

5. Embrace each others unique gifts and strengths.

6. Practice forgiveness and grace.

7. Seek mentorship from Godly and people.

8. Embrace God's design for marriage and gender roles.

9. Prioritize prayer and spiritual growth together.

10. Trust in God's sovereignty and provision.

By anchoring our relationships in these biblical principles, we create a rock-solid foundation that will withstand life's challenges and flourish in God's love and grace. May we build marriages and relationships that honour Christ and reflect His love to a watching world.

Someone once said to me I don't think books or hearing stories can bring about a successful marriage, maybe you too are thinking in such a way.I want to challenge you today that there is nothing you are going through or you have gone through that is strange, those with a successful stories of peaceful marriage have just learn how to deal with each situations as it comes. If you really want to have a thriving marriage you have to hear the stories of those who have passed through the road before you. You don't need to go through the pain of trial and error.

 Embracing patience . Slow and steady, you will navigate through life's challenges and emerge victorious. The conventional path may not always be the best one. Sometimes, it's the road less traveled that leads to the most fulfilling destinations. One man explained his experience in a blocked expressway that reflects our journey in life, read on. I was few kilometres away from Ibadan in Nigeria and vehicles ahead started making u-turn. It was the 5th driver who offered to tell me "EXPRESS TI BLOCK " The express road is blocked" in a hurry.
