ARE YOU AFRAID?

Have you ever gotten to a point in life where you start asking yourself if  there is God?. I have.

 Let us be sincere, there is no perfect man on earth. There were times we've gotten to the tip of the cliff and it looks as if it is all over. Can you relate with that?

Growing up as a Christian, I often felt worn down by the feeling of constantly waiting on God for everything. We  pray and it seemed like our prayers were never answered. Each year, nothing changed and the list of prayers just kept growing as requests from the last year continued to be added on. wondering what type of God gets enjoyment out of watching His beloved suffer, having to beg Him every single day for outcomes that He hardly ever provides?.I would plead and cry out, praying desperately during special services; asking why this was happening to me and begging for mercy even to asking for the forgiveness of my ancestors sins. sometimes I got so weary that I stopped altogether - not praying or caring about such matters again.

But years along the line it dawn on me that God really answer prayers but our request are just too numerous that we keep on asking Him for.

On one occasion I heard the voice telling me to start keeping records of what I ask or pray for and start writing down the date and time the answers were actually given by God. It sound funny but I obeyed and followed the instructions.Last year December I was reading through my notes and to my amazement I discovered lots of prayers I made in my time of desperation years ago, situations that made me depressed and overwhelmed with fear that looked as if there were no way out, all have been answered. To be sincere with you I have forgotten those situations because I have overcome them, the solution has been given and is no more a problem to me.

When we are in need and desperate for a thing, we seek God intervention, we weep, crying and challenging God for quick answer. We've forgotten what is written in Ecclesiastes 3:1 " for everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven". and Isaiah 55 :8 -9 " My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts, says the Lord,and my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts "( NLT).

What I have discovered is that the answer may not have be instant or the way I planned it to be, but it has surely come and the way it were answered far beyond my imagination and far better than my expectations.

Can you sit back and reflect on one particular situation that have brought fear and anxiety into your life and it looked then as if there was no God or  if he was, he never answer prayer and today you can look back and see that you have overcome such situation and have forgotten that it ever happened in your life.

If you can lay hold on such a situation, why then are you afraid that He, the IAM, will not give unto you what you are asking for now or far more better than it.

Strenght your faith and keep on believing and trust Him. He is ever near than you can imagine.
